Western Harbour Tunnel - Hong Kong's quickest cross-harbour traffic route

Confined to the Nearside Lane

According to the Western Harbour Crossing Bylaw, motorists of buses, medium goods vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and vehicles mentioned in Section 12 of the Bylaw should keep left and drive only in the nearside lane inside the tunnel. WHTCL has placed signages at the appropriate locations at both sides of the entrances of southbound and northbound WHT to remind the said motorists not to contravene the relevant bylaw.
